Dear girls,
I truly hope that, when you become an adult, you find unconditional love with the love of your life.
After all of these years, I still get butterflies in my stomach when I hear your uncle’s voice and see his face.
How?
I do not hold him accountable for making me happy. I hold him accountable for honoring our marriage vows. I am accountable for my own happiness.
I admit that from time to time, I feel like punching him in the face. However, I never have and never would. LOL!
I occasionally ask him what I can do to be a better wife. I listen intently, commit to the actions I know I can improve and “keep it moving” on the rest.
I am always honest with him – even if it stings. Before the sting begins, I express my love for him, and I do it again after the sting.
He is my top priority. He knows it, and everyone else knows it. I juggle a lot professionally and personally, but I am accessible and available to him 24/7.
